Job Title: Partnerships Account Manager (Events)

Report to: Senior Sales & Partnerships Manager

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 per week

ABOUT US

Player1 Events is responsible for producing, planning, promoting and delivering the Insomnia Gaming Festival as the flagship to a variety of other gaming, technology and esports events. We’re made up of a small but dedicated bunch of people with great enthusiasm; and ambition to grow our business considerably over the coming months and years. ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Drive sales from both existing and new commercial leads to deliver fit-for-purpose and engaging commercial content, relevant for our flagship gaming festival and bespoke events
  • Working alongside the Operations team, coordinate the content delivery and client liaise of event content areas across interactive and experiential partners and influencers, to deliver their contracted requirements
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Identify market trends and customer needs for relevant partners, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Ensure all sales are accurately recorded, delivered and generate a profit for the business

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a mix of new and existing partners on our Insomnia Gaming Festival and other partner events
  • Assist with rental fleet equipment opportunities: working with our Stock Management system and Logistics team
  • Work with the Senior Sales & Partnerships Manager, to evolve the content of shows and pitch commercial ideas to partners 
  • Achieve activity and revenue targets; managing accounts and growing relationships to drive future business alongside:
    • Work with our existing Content partners with the planning and delivery of their zones at Insomnia, whilst working with the team on generating new Content partners
    • Work on account management plans and closing sales for existing vendors to ensure investment in the brand, and show on show growth from clients
  • Complete  financial process to ensure an efficient PO and invoice process for feature partners
  • Attend industry/trade events and conferences to promote the brand and generate relevant new business leads
  • Regularly report on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances.
  • Work alongside the Sales & Partnerships Operations Manager to capture all conversations and cost potentials on our reporting systems
  • Once business is won, accurately brief and hand over client requirements to the operations team, and be on hand to assist to fulfil all client requirements
  • Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure all partner commitments are delivered
  • Be the point of contact for Content and Commercial partners throughout the build, break and live show; responding to and fielding queries and maintaining good relations whilst protecting the show’s interests

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven history of working towards commercial targets
  • Experience of building event concepts and an understanding of the relevant costs
  • Sound working knowledge of game industry events
  • Salesforce (or equivalent crm database) competency is desirable
  • Highly organised and process driven, capable of multitasking
  • Good understanding of the UK Gaming / PC & Events industry.
  • Skilled in relationship management
