Working with Nintendo we brought the UK Finals of the Smash Ball Team Cup to our Main Stage, with the winning team going on to compete in the European finals. We brought award winning show “The Dark Room” to the Main Stage creating a new content driver for footfall and interest in new areas of the show.
A “show within a show”, the Ubisoft Experience was a 2-day event held at i65 with the aim of rewarding the highly engaged Ubisoft audience in the UK. The Insomnia team worked closely with Ubisoft to deliver this first of its kind event. Featuring a mix of experiential and hands on content, the The Ubisoft Experience was a varied and diverse event celebrating the wide range of Ubisoft titles, from Street Racer to Watch Dogs: Legion.
Content included; a Roller Champions Roller Disco, Assassin’s Creed freerunning, Just Dance Stage, Splinter Cell themed escape room and retro set ups, all running alongside Rainbow Six Siege esport show matches and Developer panel talks from voice actors and game designers. The show gave Ubisoft a chance to present their titles in a new, exciting way with all proceeds from ticket sales donated to Insomnia’s charity partner Special Effect.
At Insomnia63 we promoted and event managed two sell out TV taping shows of WWE’s hottest new brand. Working in partnership with WWE we helped deliver and promote these tapings, alongside working with international WWE Superstar Xavier Woods on more content collaborations throughout Insomnia63.
In 2017 we staged the Birmingham leg of the Zelda music world tour. The concert consisted of a 66 piece orchestra and a visual accompaniment on an LED panel screen. We planned, promoted and event managed at our festival show.
We collaborated with Activision to create and logistically plan and execute one of the European legs of the 2017 World League. 66 CoD teams consisting over 264 players competed for a $50k prize pool.
